⭐MDH (Magpie Darling Hat) is the collectors edition: Knit City 2025 - yarn is hand dyed by Fidley Dyeworks.  This is a very special limited edition.  Once it's gone, it's gone!

KIT INCLUDES (to make ONE Gnome)

• Enough Sport weight, worsted weight or Chunky weight yarn to complete a sparkly hat.
• 1 x pompom beard (with hanging ribbon attached) from Yarnboler.
• 1 x  Hat Pattern & Booklet designed by Amanda Kaffka.
• 1 x Nose.
• 1 x Mini pompom hat topper and/or charm.
• 1 x Thread bundle to sew on the Nose.

Here’s what you will need that is NOT included in the kits:

• NEEDLES: 
  • For New Year's 2026, January Garnet, Santa, Hipster, Vintage, Elf, MDH, Mystery: 4mm (US6) DPNs.
  • For Retro and Mystery: 6mm (US10) DPNs.
• NOTIONS: Tapestry needles (I suggest 3 different sizes: 1 big size to thread pompom ribbons through hat, 1 medium size to sew on nose, and thread through mini pompoms,  and bigger charms, 1 fine size for threading through smaller charms).
• GAUGE:
  • For January Garnet, Santa, Vintage, Elf, MDH, Mystery: Using 4mm (US6) DPNs in St-st: 5 sts x 7 rnds = 1”/2.5cm.
  • For Hipster: 4mm (US6) in Rib: 5 sts x 6.5 rnds = 1”/2.5cm.
  • For Retro & Mystery: 6mm (US10) in St-st: 3.25 sts x 4.5 rnds = 1”/2.5cm.
  • For New Year's 2026: 4mm (US6) in St-st: 7 sts x 9 rnds = 1”/2.5cm.
